	About The Author Michael Jason "Bats" Weiss was born on a hot August day in 1986 in Denver, Colorado. His parents, Jeanette and Ron named him after the most bitchin' cool dude of the decade, but unfortunately Michael Weiss has never had an adventure through time, and grew up an awkward, frail, and often sickly child. His ailments, both social and physical, lead him to retreat into the realm of literature at an early age; after a brief study of E. A. Poe, he graduated to Frank Miller, Alan Moore, and Jeph Loeb. The early education he garnered from the Denver public school system could be described as sporadic at best, pointless at worst. Although the debate rages even now if his less than stellar early education was due more to the unimpressive Denver public school standards, or his own slackery. Eventually Michael left "traditional" educational facilities, bidding farewell to both the paddle and the whip and engaged in his artistic journey at the Denver School of the Arts. It is unwise to say at this juncture that suddenly, in this environment Michael bloomed into his potential, but he did graduate, which is more than most Denver public schools students can say about their educations. Following his uncelebrated escape from public schooling he fled Colorado briefly in the company of his friend and later paramour Tessera. The settled in California for a short while, but before the summer was out had returned back to Colorado, by way of greyhound bus. Back in Colorado, and now attached, Michael settled down and gave up all his artistic sense and native wit to begin a mind numbing and heart hardening job as a corporate whore. In August of 2007 he celebrated 2 years of selling his soul for the man. Michael Jason "Bats" Weiss now lives in Denver, Colorado with his fiance Tessera and her daughter Magnolia. He enjoys Stephen King novels, musicals, and torturing cats with a laser pointer.


	About The Comic Charlie In: Comics was born from a 24-Hour Comic that Michael "Bats" Weiss started on 11/10/2007 at 10:10 AM and ended 11/11/2007 at 5:10 AM, 5 hours before the deadline. Michael fell in love with the character mid-attempt and started forming plans to continue Charlie's quiet adventures. After fits and starts of stories were produced and html was written, Charlie In: Comics found its way onto Drunk Duck. Michael plans on continuing Charlie's adventures for the foreseeable future, as well as producing other, more writing-driven projects.
