It was a lovely story, I liked the way that it ended. It was a very telling story and I agree with Carl_E, it would be a great publication for those who need it. ^_^ Thank you for writing this.

Thankyou for the lovely comments guys. I had a whole page of quotes which seemed worth leaving but some seemed rather antagonistic towards religion which was never my aim. In the end I felt these two quotes summed up my views on any religion best. The Cottingley fairy hoax pics (as CarlE so nicely explains ) duped a very famous, well respected and intelligent man who was desperate to believe in the supernatural after losing his beloved wife. He made a fool of himself in many eyes, and apparently even angered Houdini by insisting his illusions and stunts were due to supernatural powers. I think he illustrates nicely that even a learned and highly intelligent mind can become misled by the strong desire to believe in something.

Thank you Carl_E for the history lesson on the picture that this lovely author chose to end her comic with. The quotes she selected seem more profound with that knowledge, especially the last. I totally agree with George Bernard Shaw. And thank YOU Sky for this wonderful and inspiring comic. I don't think I've ever had this many goosebumps nor have been more moved from reading a comic before. Lovely and Amazing! P.S. You should seriously consider some of dragonrider's ideas :)

I didn't leave many comments, but I've enjoyed another wonderful story of yours. Thank you so much! :)

Are you considering publishing this? It would make a great tract to leave in churches, among the pamphlets in the racks that are there for angsty teens... After all, a little subversion can do a lot of good!

My friend we are indeed indebted to you for what you have provided. It is too bad this cannot be made required reading for Parents, Teachers, Counselors and Ministers of LGBTG children as well as be available for all children to teach tolerance. It would, I know, be beyond measure invaluable to build self confidence and prevent suicides of many children.

The girl is Frances Griffiths, and the picture is the origin of the Cottingley Faerie hoax. Taken in 1917, The faeries are purported to be paper cutouts made by the photographer, Elsie Wright. It was picked up by papers in the early 20's, and attracted such luminaries as Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle, an avid beleiver in the supernatural. Of course, the faeries themselves won't talk about the incident. The 1997 movie "Fairy Tale" takes the incident and runs with it, joyously blending the myth and reality of the hubbub that ensued when the pictures were circulated.
