Sorry about the lack of commentary... I posted this Sunday night after an exhausting (but good) weekend...
I am loving the art by Sarah Skye and how the story is unfolding thus far...
Yes, I agree, Artie4... This really makes you think about the context in which the bible was written and how people twist the scriptures to their own benefit... I believe fighting (in defense of)for your faith is one thing, but committing murder is something totally different.

To be honest, I've always wondered why people kill each other in the name of God. Very ironic :/

Interesting concept, this comic.

Personally, I find it very hard to reconcile the other facts in Bible with the commandment "Thou shalt not kill"
-The fact that it preceded by God commanding the Hebrews to murder the inhabitants of Canaan
-God destroying the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah (including Lot's wife, whose only crime was turning back to look)
-The 'Great Flood' destroying 99% of life on the planet

I'm not saying there isn't good in the Bible: it just becomes difficult to reconcile it with the vast amount of bad in there too. You don't need scripture to be a moral person, and I'd say that the scripture actually makes it more confusing to be moral, due to it's conflicting message.

Seems like the horse is looking back at me, adding to the creepy feel.

If only Jesus and co had had the benefit of modern libel laws. I'm sure he could sue for all the times his words have been misquoted and taken out of context!

WHOA!! This comic is becomimg pretty heavy! Don't get me wrong, it's so well written, but it surely makes you think! The Bible is a very complicated book and is very easily interpretted by whomever reads it.

Sky & Sarahjayne: thus far y'all are do a fantastic job with this story. I'm sure it will become a(if not already) very contriversial(sp?) piece of work. Congrats on an outstanding project!
