| flapjack1995 | I worked hard on this, and will eventually color it. I drew as much as I could on one piece of paper, but I couldn't fit everyone in there.
I'm going to explain each and every character now for you.
Super Sonic:
He first appeared in Sonic The Hedgehog 2, my very first video game. I've always loved him more than Mario and always will. It's not Sonic's fault that SEGA's last console went off the market too early. Sonic taught me the basic rules of side-scrolling platformers. I look forward to Sonic Unleashed, which features a system that changes gameplay with the time of day, introducing Wolf Sonic.
Kirby:
My all-time favorite Nintendo character. This pink ball of awesome cost me $40 for Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, and it was totally worth it. Kirby' Dream Land was the very first Game Boy game I've ever played, the second and third being a King Kong fighting game and Spider-Man, when I got my own game boy. I look forward to his rumored Wii game, which features both the buddy system from Kirby Super Star and the copy system from Kirby64.
Black Mage:
The Black Mage from Final Fantasy. Why? Because I really like Final Fantasy, and I really like the Black Mage. This could possibly count as a cameo for Lord Shplane.
Luigi:
Why Luigi? Because I just like him more than Mario, despite the fact that he originally existed as a palette swap for Player 2. He just has a mysterious aura about him... why is he such a coward, unlike his older brother? Luigi appears to have a lot more background history than Mario. Luigi seems to have a serious dark side, too... what did the Star Gate see in Luigi, in M&L: Partners in Time, that made him seem so unheroic and dark? The Negative Zone, Luigi's Final Smash in Brawl, only widens the possibilities. Luigi's part in Super Paper Mario, when he was Mr. L makes me think even more. Aside from that, Luigi's jump is superior to Mario's, and in the Mario & Luigi series, Luigi has a higher defense and higher stache points. If Mario, known partly for his moustache, can't compete with Luigi's stache, then what can you think about Mario? Luigi's Mansion is a great game, and playing Super Mario Galaxy is lots of fun with Luigi after you beat the game with Mario. I often wonder where Luigi was during the time of Super Mario Sunshine...
Clank:
Clank, the intelligent and sophisticated little bot from the Ratchet and Clank series. He is probably the coolest robot ever. I love Ratchet and Clank games, which are known for excellent stories, humor, clever mini-games, weapons and upgrades, and most importantly, their greatest feature, "Blowing Shit Up". Their is nothing more satisfying than firing a plethora of projectiles into a swarm of enemies and watching them explode, in a fiery ball of doom. And who doesn't want to transform an enemy into something ridiculously harmless, and watch them spontaneously combust? A sight of true beauty. Ratchet and Clank is one of the most enjoyable shooting platformers of all time, not to mention the games of the series that feature shooting other enemies from your ship. And don't you just love it when you upgrade your weapons to the point where each one is a sign of planetary armageddon?
Pikachu:
Yes, I am a Pokemon fan. When I was eight my best friend gave me Yellow Version in exchange for a few Pokemon cards. I played that game for hours on end, and loved every second of it. As I'm typing I'm listening to the Pokemon theme song from Brawl. Pokemon taught me a skill that helps me today in RPGs, which is training and leveling up. But recently the series has gone to shit, so I'm not looking forward to any Pokemon games. Mystery Dungeon 2 looks promising, however...
If you look, you can see an item from every characters' game (except Final Fantasy, the Black Mage was drawn last-minute). Sonic's Ring and seven Chaos emeralds, Kirby's Maxim Tomato, Mario and Luigi's Super Shroom, Pikachu's Pokeball, and Ratchet and Clank's nuts and bolts. Clink tink clank...
I would have included other characters like Link, Rayman, Megaman, Sora, Jak and Daxter, and Yoshi, but they just didn't come to mind when I drew this, and there's no room for them now. Remember, I will color it! I already have it done in Sharpie marker. -Posted on Apr 28, 2008 |
