Several weeks ago, I and Barb Jacobs, the creator of the lavish and very deep Xylia, were interviewed by the very talented Tom Racine of Tall Tale Radio. Tom grilled us about all things character related. I love talking shop, so between Barb's great insights and Tom's knack for asking the right questions, I had a great time.
You probably won't be able to tell, but I was suckin' on a stogie during the whole interview.
You can find the interview via the TTR site, or on itunes. I recommend subscribing to TTR via itunes, myself, because Tom has numerous seriously excellent interviews with a long list of very talented creators.
In recognition of this interview, I figured I'd post a piece I did for Xylia several months ago. Steely Dan has a prominent role in the piece, as does a certain grave and tree.
I'm still pluggin' away on the Three Musketeers piece. I don't see how I'll finish by the beginning of March, but I'll certainly keep you all up to date. Even though I am have a really good time on the short, I miss Broken a ton.
Maybe you thought no one would notice; maybe you hoped someone did. I did, I wonder how many others noticed; How subtle, she has dragon-fly wings, and he has (guess?) Bumble-bee wings? NOT wasp.
ooh awesome, I'll have to check that out :) I love Xylia, its great to see a fantasy comic that taps into anglo saxon/british folklore, where modern fantasy seemed to of originated from ^^
