AzuJOD: Do you mean my original design, or this painting in particular? As for the latter, I believe it was done without any particular reference. As for the former, I channeled a whole lot of influences into Aria. Most notably: Millennium Playmate Janine Habeck. Academy-Award winning actress Jennifer Connelly (especially the way she looked in Dark City). Major Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex. Makoto Uno’s designs for the Witchblade anime. The Huntress. And probably some others which escape my mind right now.
