Personally I think hand-coloring complements your style much better than CG coloring, until you get skilled enough that your CG no longer looks "artificial," as all beginner CG tend to look.
I can't say whether or not CG will end up saving you time though. But in the beginning learning process, it certainly won't.
Interesting to have a demon actively participate with you.
