| isukun | This may actually be the sixth time now that I've restarted this comic. This time, however, I've brought a new writer on board. One with a bit more time than Ben has with his busy schedule of lawyery goodness. For those five of you who may actually remember the old comic, stick around because this isn't just the old material redrawn. Everything has been completely rewritten by Mr. Eberly and I'm actually finding the story works a little better this time around. Carter has managed to pull the first chapters away from their four panel gag comic roots and assuming I can find enough time in my busy schedule to keep up with things, I think you will find a lot of the fat has been cut from the original version and the characters seems to connect in a more natural way as the story unfolds.
Anyway, the timing is a bit bad for this first strip as I do have some more animation work to take care of this week before I head home for the Thanksgiving holiday. Once I make my way back to LA, though, I'm going to try to pick up doing two or three updates a week. I kind of wanted to get this first pge up, though, as soon as I could.
Also, for those who may have been following our other comic, The Teenage Girl's Guide to Her Ever Changing Body, Ben is working on new scripts for a full series reboot. We both felt that the comic was straying too far from the original intent. I will start work on that as soon as Ben gets me the first script and we will be posting the comic a chapter at a time, hopefully one every couple of months, maybe more frequently. I'm a little out of practice at the moment, so I'm trying to get back into the groove of making comics. You may have to bear with me a few weeks while I get up to speed. -Posted on Nov 17, 2009 |
