Why? The recently featured HalJones, talent behind Beyond Human and OFF HOURS new kid just rocked it with a new page - colored by JustNoPoint with a co-starring appearance by Desmond (CK) - So that's where Desmond was all this time!
Also, the most dangerous PREQUEL series on DD - BLNT:Synchronicity returns with an all-new episode this weekend! Expect it on Sunday, kids!
A day late - but NOT a dollar short!
Thanks for all the good thought regarding that student who was killed in a drive-by from my school. Things are fairly back to normal after today's wake. Tempers have cooled - the mayor of Los Angeles will be adding 200 new officers to the streets of Los Angeles to combat the gang issue...and all is well!
This episode is a bit of a teaser for Desmond's re-intro. The next few episodes will have Desmond facing the music. He's been absent for a few days. In fact, the last time anyone saw him was when Rayne cold-cocked him upside his head at that soccer game...and that's when SOME of the trouble began.
Some of it. Who has comments? I have responses!
Tantz: Thanks for your comments and regards. Trust me, our school psychologist was quite busy for a couple of days. I'm sure you don't have these issues in Greece. Perhaps a different set of drama.
D0M: I miss 24. I never miss an episode - This is my way of dealing with the withdrawal. Complete with a field mission, sugary sweet sub-plots and exposing the bad guy(s) behind the political assassination of Rayne Atwater. Stay tuned! Every...second...counts!
JustNoPoint: Man, you've got mad skills! Really, there are things you can do at Devon Legacy that I'm getting ready to try once the boys get to Studio City come Episode 2.30.
Sean P: Classrooms and LCD Projectors are commonplace for a teacher like me - It was fun trying to capture the whole PowerPoint feel of mapping out their strategy. I'd like look at this kids as a high tech Peanuts gang. We'll see how it all unfolds soon.
TrevorAMueller: Thanks again for coming by...Not as hard-boiled as your comics. Still, I appreciate the FIVES and a new fan!
BlackDaisy: Desmond is right here! Notice anything different about him?
smkinoshita: Thanks for your kind thoughts as well. Drawing is a solace to me - I HAVE to keep on...keepin' on. My work IS my inspiration. Thank YOU for coming along for the ride.
POLO: You brought back POLO! STILL happy thatPOLO is back! Thanks for the support as always here!
New episodes will roll out IN TWO WEEKS on Wednesday and Friday again! We'll find out what was wrong with Desmond too. In fact, for hint...turn back the archives to this page. Or um, click that link.
Have a great weekend, everyone! Thanks for the love and support!
Great point, smkinoshita. The key here is, knowing the full details of what happened in the video.
The video - as seen pretty much in Episode 2.14, is edited to view only Rayne punching Desmond. The circumstances behind the punch are left to the viewers speculation. What IS known to the students is that Desmond sells M&Ms and is a new student to the area and Rayne has developed a rep for being...well...
...An angry, black chick.
But like any propoganda in politics, you have to wait and see how this will effect an already tight race. More importantly, how Desmond is about to spin these recent events.
You will love the next FOUR EPISODES - They are Desmond/Rayne-centric.
Something just struck me -- pardon the pun -- but the punch on video aspect might actually make people vote for Rayne. While they're probably not the crowd she'd WANT voting for her (although since I know the full story I'd vote for her 'cause of the punch too, Des did ask for it) it's just a funny though. :)
Oh totally, dude. Not sure why I didn't fave this earlier. Also, it doesn't need to be as "extreme" as my stuff to be good and enjoyable, and your comic certainly is!
No, we don't have that sort of violence in Greece, and schools are fairly safe places if you don't consider the occasional kid brawl. But we do have other sorts of dangers.
I hope there has been enough help and support for the kids to get out of the anger stage enough to stay out of additional danger. :( And I'd worry about the psychologist, too- and you and your colleagues. This kind of thing has a toll on us as well.
On the page, oy! I suspect he has arrived looking like a train wreck, hasn't he?

The way you set up the scene is quality storytelling and I really enjoyed it!
I can't wait to see what's up!!!
