What is lighting the ship? That would also light the figures. The panels with Harriet should be back lit because what she is looking at is shining. Think light sources and where the light would go and more importantly where do you want the light to go? As it is, unless you just want silhouettes, it's too dark except those teeth. What is it with 3D programs and teeth?

Point lights or dim down a spotlight with a color added to it for the interior shots. It looks great otherwise, tho. Pointlights and colored spotlights might make the space scenes less flat, too. The dark works for the mood, but you might try some edge lighting to keep the figures from blending too much into the background.
