| | trevoramueller | Comic legend Neal Adams. When I saw him at the convention, my heart skipped a beat. This is the guy that got Brad Meltzer started in comics, as well as countless others. He's AWESOME!
The list of stuff that he's worked on is epic, and he's been working in comics longer than I've been alive! If anyone had the Wolverine Tumbler, it would be him.
It's like the line from the movie Fanboys, "I'm Willaim Shatner, I can score anything." Only replace "Shatner" with "Adams," and "William" with "Neal."
Unfortunately, Neal wasn't all that interested in chatting and was rather busy, so my networking time with him at the con was limited. I did get to chat a bit with George Perez at the Hero Initiative booth, though, but he was too busy to pose for a picture.
Next week, the conclusion. -Posted on Mar 11, 2009 | | User: trevoramueller | | | MetaLuigi: Hee hee, that's a picture that I've been recycling throughout this entire story. I think it's a picture that has many universal expressions within it.
Socrpious: Thanks, I've been digging the picture comic as well. It's a lot of fun to do, but not as easy as the illustrated stuff.
amanda: "I'm Neal Adams and I endorse this comic" was all I was going to put there, but then I wanted to give him the tumbler. So more dialogue had to be inserted.
harryq: Neal was pretty nice about taking the picture, and I appreciated that. I told him it was for a project and a web article...and I kind of wasn't lying. ;)
seventy2: Sorry, yes - there will be an update on Friday. I was confused on the day that this would update when I posted it. Or I was sleeping when I wrote that blog.
I don't think George was annoyed by my request, because I got to talk to him a bit about the Hero Initiative (since I'm being published in a book that's benefiting that organization) and we connected on that front. I honestly think he was just very busy helping to support that cause.
Warpedwenger: Thanks for reading! -Posted on Mar 11, 2009 | | User: seventy2 | | 5 | next week?? NEXT WEEK? what about friday?
and there's a difference between, "busy" and annoyed.
