| | trevoramueller | Jorge and I are friends. I met him through DJ Coffman. Both of them were winners of the Platinum Studios Comic Book Challenges - and were then subsequently canceled by Platinum as well. "Creative differences," I believe is the polite term. I won't get into the details, but if you ever get the chance to buy one of them a drink, I'm sure they'll share the details with you.
Jorge has started his own small press and has published a few titles, namely "9 Months." If you haven't seen his comic, shame on you. It's a tense tale.
Irv is a good buddy of mine as well, and I really enjoy hanging out with him. The face that he made when we ordered him ice cream for his "birthday" was priceless! I couldn't resist putting it into the comic. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: trevoramueller | | | kuypol: Thanks for reading!
harryq: Thanks for reading!
Walrus: Thanks for reading!
Warpedwenger: That was some pretty awesome ice cream, and I think we all split it. There were about 8 of us. -Posted on Mar 02, 2009 | | User: Warpedwenger | | 5 | | I would totally spill my guts for that ice cream. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: Walrus | | 5 | -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: harryq | | 5 | -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: kyupol | | 5 | -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: trevoramueller | | | | Druchii: If you mean the purple stuff, that was red bean. It's a sweet ice cream, and well worth buying. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: trevoramueller | | | x2_gon: Thanks, glad you dig it!
amanda: The flavors were red bean, green tea, mango, and vanilla.
Steely Gaze: Yeah, I was trying to go for a storybook feel for this story. Plus, I didn't have a clear vision in my head when I started writing it as to how the pictures would all fit in. Unlike the Vet Visit storyline, which was clear as day in my head.
seventy2: I recommend the mango and red bean, but the green tea was a little bitter. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: Druchii | | 5 | | The dark ice cream looks the scariest, and yet, the most tempting to eat. :D -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: seventy2 | | 5 | | i would have killed for ice cream like that on my birthday. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: Steely Gaze | | 5 | The quest continues....
Really good editing on this. It all flows so well. And the use of nontraditional panels is a really neat trick! Makes it more storybookish (sorry, don't know a better word for it) than your average comic. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: amanda | | 5 | | Some of those ice creams have questionable colors. I like the candles in 'em, though. -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | | User: x2_gon | | 5 | | lol awesome page! -Posted on Feb 27, 2009 | Only registered members may vote. Sign up here! | |
