I tried to make a comment on the actual ApL page, but for some reason, it would not stick. Thankfully, you two gents are still updating on here as well.
Anyhow, serendipity came to me and whispered in my ear the suggestion to see what, if anything, had changed in the world of ApL. In the time during the long hiatus, I had suffered two computer crashes, decimating my once formidable list of bookmarked webcomics, including this one, so the thought that I should check up on you was very much by chance indeed.
Needless to say, my heart burst with joy upon arriving at the website and seeing updates at long last.
Taking time to savor the artwork and each word crafted in every panel, I slowly progressed through each update I had missed in my absence. I even took the time to read the individual comments made on each strip, waiting to get to the latest one to add my insignificant opinion on the latest one.
Well, this is the latest strip, and I gotta say my joy is a bit abated. I know that you have had sabbaticals and hiatuses (hiatusii?) past, but having read about how excited and gung-ho you were about getting ApL off and running again, this latest pause of now two months does inspire a bit of worry in me.
I must say I'm very thrilled that ApL wasn't just left to die and fade forever into that special place in our hearts where all bygone fond memories go, because comic Dave and Shaun have become people in my eyes and I would love nothing more than to see their adventures continue. I hope to see this go on, not just for me, but for your characters as well.
I know that you guys have your own lives to live and they do come first to this, but I just want it to be known that you guys rock and I will be re-bookmarking this page and await further word from you two. I hope all is well with you boys.
