| antcomics | I felt like I should update the Ants again, just to show you guys I'm not dead...(and no, I'm not quitting on this comic, just taking a break for an undetermined amount of time)...
Most of you probably know I'm focusing my attention for awhile on my other comic, The Compozerz as of late. So yeah, still working, just shifted gears.
But the Ants have not been forgotten by me or their faithful fans. Here we have a brilliant strip, drawn by Ringoko and NanKanComics, a team of two very artistic sisters who give me so much fan art it knocks my socks off. Ring is at Deviantart only; NanKan has an account both there and here at DD.
I usually put fan art in a separate section, but this was so good I decided to use it here as an update. Many thanks to Ring and NanKan!!
Here is Ringoko's description, as she wrote in her comments at DA:
"[NanKan] drew it and I colored it with colored pencils.
The story behind this: Nankan was having an art block and asked me what she should draw. So I suggested that she draw her favorite Ant, Gary. Now she was on a chocolate high that night and I had called Gary a she repeatedly (this was back before I read the Ant comics and I thought Gary was a girl because he looked like one to me). Anyhow, I suggested she draw Gary in a dress (since I thought he looked like a girl). Nankan laughed at the idea as she envisioned it and I encouraged her by saying the dress should be hot pink and that the one of the Ants had put the dress on Gary after a night of heavy drinking."
