Your attention to detail and depiction of emotions are stunning (not to mention your rendering of male anatomy).

Interestingly enough, I'm in the middle of reading The Persian Boy now too. o.0; I think I came across this through a chain of events that started with doing a search to find out whether Nabarzanes was a real person, actually. Apparently Google thinks that your note about Nabarzanes is very informative.
