Here are some links to other comics to check out and some other cool things
Bardsworth is a hilarious comedy set in a magical school. A young man discovers a magical world in his closet and soon begins to take classes at Bardsworth University while pursuing a crush, making new friends, and enjoying cookies. It's like Harry Potter but funnier and the art is excellent. This comic updates three times a week and is highly recommended. No Pink Ponies follows the life of Jess, a cute girl who decides to open a comicbook shop to try and impress this guy she met. Sound familiar? There are actually a number of similarities between AROTD and this comic, except of course for the brilliant artwork in No Pink Ponies and the funny storylines. This comic updates sporadically but is highly recommended.
Rhapsodies seems to be little known, and I think that's a shame becuase it's one of my favorite comics. It follows the lives of several people in an apartment building, although with a decidedly humorous slant. The characters are witty and unique, the plot addicting, and the art just keeps getting better and better. And it's updated daily to boot. Highly recommended.
Our Home Planet is what I would call an aquired taste. The plot involves a pair of cannibalistic lesbian aliens who come to earth while on the run from a foppish bounty hunter who happens to be a prince. Following me so far? These aliens end up getting stuck on earth along with the prince, and all of them take refuge with a pair of normal earth girls. That's when things get weird. Expect crazy action, plenty of adult situations, some perverted humor, and, oh yes, furries. Adults only please. It's updated about once a week, but has high quality artwork.
This is a sometimes violent, sometimes hilarious, and always entertaining comic about some adventurers in a twisted take on your favorite fantasy tales. It has brilliant artwork, intelligent plots, and Richard. Who is Richard you ask? Read it and find out. Although the level of cartoon violence may turn off some, anyone who enjoys fantasy novels and games should read it. Looking For Group updates twice a week.
PVP is a comic about nerds. Well okay, it's actually a comic about a video games magazine and the wacky people on staff, but most of the time it plays like a parody of a soap opera. Bizarre situations, laugh-out-loud comedy, and snazzy artwork make this an enjoyable read. Although I should note that the comic has been going since 1998 and that means you'll have a huge backlog of strips to read. PVP updates daily.
Misfile is the story of an angel who royally screws up in the filing department. Due to his error, a teenage boy is now a girl and a college-bound girl has just lost two years of her life. Before he can fix his misfile, the angel is sent to earth as punishment to redeem himself. So now he has to work with the two girls to get things back the way they were, but life keeps throwing more challenges their way. Updated daily with high-quality artwork and a smashing story, Misfile comes highly recommended.
City of Weirdos is drawn by my artist, Chameleon Kid, and is about the wacky lives of a werewolf, his skeleton friend, and all the strange people in their city (hence the title). The artwork is excellent and the plot graciously silly. It's something you won't want to miss. Updates weekly.
John Clyde is another comic by my brilliant artist, and it's starting to get a following! Join John, his wife Penny, and all their friends as John quits his job as a camp counselor and tries to become a nature guide on television. The art is cartoony, the plot is zany, and it updates once a week.
Give Me the Sky is a vivid fantasy comic about the suddenly complicated life of one boy and his friends after evil forces threaten his life. There's magic, action, intrigue, and one hell of a complicated plot. The art is great and the colors make it even more special. There's plenty of adventure to be had, and plenty of puzzles to uncover in this rousing comic. It updates sporadically, but usually two or three times a week.
My blog, a place of sharing and wisdom. Or mindless ranting, you decide.
